The Community — St. Augustine, Florida Waterfront Homes
Surrounded by a rich history and small-town charm in St. Augustine, Florida, the Nation’s Oldest City, the waterfront homes at the Abacos at Salt Run are perfectly situated in one of Florida’s most unique areas, where water, nature and history define the lifestyle of this coastal community.
Both fine and casual dining, nationally renowned art galleries, specialty boutiques, historic landmarks and more than 40 miles of oceanfront beaches make this coastal region a popular destination for residents and visitors alike. A charming pedestrians-only street, St. George, is lined with shops that bring together the old and new. Just a short drive away is St. Augustine Beach on Anastasia Island, which has a fishing pier, shopping and dining. Visitors interested in learning more about the area’s long history can enjoy a variety of tours, such as those of Castillo de San Marcos, the nation’s oldest stone fort, and the Gonzalez-Alvarez house, the state’s oldest Spanish Colonial dwelling. Museums include the living history museum, Colonial Spanish Quarter.
The area has everything from upscale resorts to unspoiled nature preserves. There is something for every kind of water enthusiast, including boating, surfing and fishing. The St. Johns County location is home to world-class golf courses and the World Golf Village, home of the World Golf Hall of Fame. The PGA TOUR headquarters are in nearby Ponte Vedra Beach and hosts the Tournament Players Championship (TPC) at Sawgrass each year.
St. Augustine offers easy access to three major airports — Jacksonville International, Daytona Beach International and Orlando International.
